Dumb and Dumber To

If I told you that my drawings of wieners got me this gig, would you be weirded out? Because I was, and if you are, then we have that in common, and we should probably be friends.

A few days after Inktober was over, I got a message from a friend who works in an entertainment agency asking if I’d be interested in doing some work for a feature her producers were working on for the upcoming home release of the new Farrelly brothers flick. Apparently, she’d been showing off my instagram feed to her bosses, and they loved what they were presented with so much that they wanted to work with me on illustrating some scenes.

Because I love nothing more than experiencing things for the first time over and over again, I said sure, why not. It was a hell of a lot of work, but it was one of the funnest things I have ever done. I mean, drawing silly stuff, with the only caveats being that there were none? FOR DOLLARS? Uh, yeah, please, thanks. Forever.

Here’s where I admit that I had never even seen Dumb and Dumber in first place. I did see that toilet scene, which is really only because it was linked in the job artwork request list. I am a total phony.

The DVD comes out tomorrow, and because I’ve been sitting on them for what feels like an eternity now and can’t really wait anymore, here are all 26 illustrations. I figured posting about them a day early is cool, right? It’s already tomorrow in Australia. So, like, technically, it’s okay. Australia made it so.
